Richard Reid
Richard Reid was the “shoe bomber” – the guy who tried to
set off
explosives in his shoes on a flight from Paris to Miami in
December
of 2001. His heroes were the September 11th hijackers, and he
might
have met Zacharias Moussaoui, the 20th September 11th
terrorist
currently under arrest, while they both attended Brixton
Mosque in
the 1990’s. Reid was overpowered by other passengers on the
plane he
planned to blow up, and has been sentenced to life in
prison without
the possibility of parole.
